Down East

CC spent the weekend on the east coast. He made more time for trail running and visiting the Atlantic coast. His favorite stop was at the Nubble Light House at the US Coast Guard Cape Neddick Light Station. The station was established in 1879 to protect mariners from the “savage rocks”. The light house is now operated automatically and enjoyed by tourists from the nearby Sohier Park, after the late William Sohier. CC took time to smell the last blooms of the beach roses and made friends with the gulls that were busy collecting handouts from the tourists.
